Camille van Zadelhoff

I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer from the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao and currently based in Den Haag.  I currently have several years of work experience on international film projects based in the Netherlands, USA, Belgium, Curacao, and Bonaire. I have been working in the art department in various positions such as production designer, set dresser, and set decorator on feature films, short films, commercials, and documentaries. The constant changing nature of film allowed my skillset to broaden into interdisciplinary specialties which lie in set dressing, set decorating, art direction, prop making, graphic design, concept illustration, technical drafting and 3D design for motion pictures and entertainment. I have had the opportunity to be an assistant set dresser, graphic designer, and prop maker for the successful award-winning feature film, Bulado, which won the 2020 Gouden Kalf awards in the Netherlands. I also recently designed a commercial shot on Bonaire which refined my team management ability and problem solving in high pressure situations ability. Over the years I have gained invaluable knowledge and an all-around skill which have strengthened me as a collaborative leader, active team player and passionate storyteller. Although I primarily work in the entertainment industry, I feel that my skills and creative international perspective can be applied to the role of spatial and graphic designer through storytelling in spaces.
