At the age of 16 I got myself a camera and started taking pictures. I specialized in journalistic photography and documentary portrait at the Photo Academy of Amsterdam, and graduated in 2005. Through my pictures I always try to find someones true personality. Portraying people when they’re not paying attention to me, results in characteristic and unpolished images, showing who they really are. Whether it’s a rock ‘n roll musician taking a break, a bride getting ready or just someone walking by.
