Sector Information:
The division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes from the client. The IT for engineering department consists of Electronic, Mechanical and Software support groups responsible of company wide support on the engineering infrastructure.
Within IT for Engineering the Electrical Engineering Infrastructure group is responsible for Electronic Development Computer Aided Design (E-CAD) tools and methods to enable the Electrical Development activities worldwide.
Define the E-CAD tooling roadmap and improvements, lead improvement projects.
Support, installation, configuration and maintenance of the E-CAD environment/tools, which operate on an UNIX/Solaris, Linux and XP compute platform.
Job description:

Define E-CAD tool roadmap, based on key-user input and vendor roadmaps.

Specify improvements in E-CAD tool environment, including evaluation of possible solutions.

Communicate with suppliers about required enhancements.

Analyse project specific E-CAD requirements and propose solutions.

Implement (design & realise), test and release improvements / bugfixes in E-CAD tool environment, including training of users.

Install and maintain E-CAD tools in UNIX/Linux environment, including definition and maintenance of design/re-use libraries.

Support design engineers with tool related questions (helpdesk).

Isolate bugs in E-CAD tool environment and communicate to tool supplier.
Educational level:
-
Bachelor degree (HBO), in electrical engineering/information technology/computer science or similar level acquired by working experience.
Experience:
More then 5 years of experience in usage and maintenance of Electronic Design CAD tools.

Basic electronic design knowledge, good scripting knowledge (Perl, TCL/TCK, VBS, Unix).

Expert knowledge of electronic design tooling and good knowledge on FPGA design tooling.

Fluent in English and preferably Dutch in speech and in writing.
