Email Copywriter for Higher Education – Contract Role

Dear freelancers,

As a contractor for the Marketing Communications team, your role is to craft compelling email copy that helps prospective students see the value of pursuing an MBA degree or specialty Master’s program.
Key tasks include:
• Write emails that are part of drip campaigns or are standalone campaigns
• Work with Marcom Team to brainstorm ideas and articulate messaging
• Write clear, concise and compelling subject lines
• Write persuasive copy with solid calls-to-action that drive click-through rates
• Proof, edit and refine existing email copy provided by the Marcom Team .
• Review existing email campaign results and recommend improvements.
The ideal candidate:
• Must be fluent in English
• Has at least 5+ years of direct experience writing email copy
• Will provide work samples and email campaign results
• Is able to understand and maintain brand voice across multiple campaigns
• Can convert a creative brief and campaign goals into multiple options for creative execution
• Can understand email marketing best practices (e.g., CAN-SPAM rules)
• Is able to manage and prioritize multiple projects
