ProjectomschrijvingING Investment Management (ING IM) is a global asset manager with approximately EUR 333 bn of Assets under Management in 38 countries in the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe. ING IM is the principle asset manager of ING Group, a global financial services company operating in 50 countries. In Europe and the Middle East, ING IM has offices in 14 countries and has Assets under Management of nearly EUR 130 bn. ING IM provides investment strategies across all major asset classes for the ING Group network, insurance companies and for institutional clients. ING IM combines this with ING Group's international distribution capabilities to offer integrated financial services solutions globally to all its clients.
The NGDC project is building a new data centre (DC) for ING IM. The services offered from this DC are build from standarized infrastructure components. The project delivers infrastructure services that will be managed by the ING IM Infrastructure Services Delivery organisation. The resource will be working for this Infrastructure Support team and be responsible for MS SQL Server.
In your role as SQL Engineer, you are responsible for the implementation and testing of SQL Server databases.
Tasks:• Collect and analyze requirements for deployment;• Deploy infrastructure components;• Assist the Operations department with the installation;• Develop procedures and maintain documentation;• Assist in execution of the test plans, acceptance, training and hand-over;• Ensure compliance with ING policies and standards;• Create a Detailled level Design document 'DLD';• Create a software build that can be implemented;• Coördinate or write an Operational Security Guideline for the SQL design;• Create document deliverables (manuals, guidelines, operational procedures, etc).
Education/ Skills:• You have completed a technical education at higher professional education level (HBO);• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in Dutch and English and analytical ability;• Can manage their own tasks and time effectively and deliver within agreed timelines;• Strong multi-tasking skills with capability to adapt to rapidly changing environments;• Pro-active communicator with the ability to communicate with technical specialist as well as service - management staff;• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Dutch and English);• Willing to work outside office hours;• Can work independently;• Flexible, stress resistant teamplayer, Result-oriented.
Knowledge:• Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure;• Knowledge of ITIL and Prince2 methodologies;• Knowledge of and experience with network components is preferred;• Familiar with concepts like Shared Service Centers and Infrastructure as a Service;• MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008;• Database servers on bare metal and virtualized environments;• NetApp Snapmanager.
